Many believe weeds should be disposed of immediately. We feel weeds are in the way, did you know weeds can actually heal many diseases? We kill off the very thing that can help us heal. Historically, Taraxacum has been used in herbal medicine to treat ailments such as digestive disorders, inflammation, and liver issues. The plant is rich in vitamins and antioxidants.
When I was a little girl I was obsessed with Teraxacums (Dandelions) it was so fun to pick up and close my eyes and blow them as hard as I could and watch them blow in the wind. I would call them wishing weeds. I believed if you made a wish and blew the dandelions, they would come true. Ahhh…. What it is to be a child.
Today I am still obsessed with them, everytime I see them I can’t help to go into my child like nature and blow. Did you know the dandelion represents resilience and hope because of its ability to thrive in difficult environments. Its bright yellow flower often symbolizes positivity, growth, and perseverance.
Scripture says: Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”
Reminds me of a Dandelion although not a flower, Gods word endures forever in our lives, a dandelion can withstand a storm. How many of us have withstood a storm, and here we are standing. Perhaps that is why I’m so deeply in love with the weed, maybe it’s a representation of me. Maybe all I have endured and kept quiet in my battle's about, just maybe it’s a representation of me. Maybe I’m the weed, maybe you are? Maybe you are like a dandelion.
As each tiny seed drifts into the air and settles in a new place, ready to grow so are we. The winds of life may take us to and fro, but you must remain strong. In the storm let the winds take portions of your anointing and spread it around the atmosphere like wild fire.
