Thankful for…
What are you thankful for? Sometimes it’s hard to see what to be thankful for, when you are in the valley lows of life. Is it safe to say we won’t always feel so thankful? Being thankful takes alot of thought. November seems to be the month many write down all they are thankful for, we express it by gathering together, eating together, fellowshipping etc… there is something about November that eludes to the warmth of being thankful.
It’s hard when you are in the lows of life, to see anything positive about the holidays. Can you take a minute to look in the mirror? And thank God you made it? How about writing down perhaps, in a journal or paper and stick that paper in your Bible, what are you thankful for? Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves the importance of gratitude.
Being grateful for all you have takes minimal effort, when you see all God has given you. Today embrace the small blessings. As the leaves change colors on a tree with every season so do seasons within us change. Change is good, it’s freeing. In this season try and find what you are most thankful for.
- I’m thankful for the breaking which has molded me.
- I’m thankful for the moments I felt dry because now I feel the overflow.
- I’m thankful for the wilderness because now I see the fields.
- I’m thankful for the falling apart moments because now I stand as a tower.
- I’m thankful for the financial scares, because now I am secure.
What are you thankful for?
